Signed contract
NRG receives the project and starts the delivery workflow.
Full-service solar EPC
You own the customer and close the deal. Everything after the signature is ours: engineering, permitting, procurement, installation, inspection, and permission to operate.
No crews to hire. No trucks to finance. No installation license or workmanship warranty exposure to carry.
Share your contact details. The dealer team will follow up about program terms, coverage, equipment, financing, and onboarding.
A real person reviews your application.
Clear division of work
As an NRG dealer you focus on selling and the customer relationship. NRG handles the licensed construction path from site review through permission to operate.
| You handle | NRG handles |
|---|---|
| Lead generation and marketing | Site survey and structural review |
| Sales appointments, in home or virtual | System design and engineering |
| Proposal delivery | Permit applications and plan check |
| Contract signature | HOA submittals and utility interconnection |
| Customer relationship through installation | Equipment procurement, installation, inspections, and permission to operate |
| Clear customer communication | Workmanship support and project status updates |
If it requires a construction license, a ladder, or a permit desk, NRG owns that part of the project.
One accountable EPC
An EPC handles engineering, procurement, and construction. For a dealer, that means every construction step between a signed contract and a switched-on system belongs to one accountable company.
The fragmented alternative creates more handoffs and more places for a project to stall. NRG keeps the project path together so you and the homeowner have one team responsible for delivery.
NRG receives the project and starts the delivery workflow.
NRG prepares the system design and engineering package.
NRG manages permit applications and plan-check responses.
NRG coordinates and completes the installation.
NRG manages inspection and utility permission to operate.
The takeaway: fewer parties, fewer failure points, and a clearer path for every project.
Product flexibility
NRG maintains an approved solar and storage lineup. Current brands, authorizations, pricing tiers, and service coverage are reviewed with you before you quote a customer.
Current panel options and availability are confirmed for the project market.
Approved inverter configurations are matched to the system design.
Storage options are reviewed by use case, compatibility, and serviceability.
Accurate customer guidance
Available purchase and financing paths vary by market and partner availability. NRG confirms the current options in writing during onboarding.
The federal Residential Clean Energy Credit under Section 25D is not available for expenditures made after December 31, 2025. Dealers should not present a 2026 residential purchase as eligible for that former federal credit. See the current IRS guidance and advise customers to consult a qualified tax professional.
Project visibility
The NRG Dealer Portal lets dealers follow submitted projects from submission through permission to operate as their status changes.
See where each submitted project sits in the delivery path.
Request proposals and contracts, upload documents, and manage project communication.
Customers can follow their project through the customer portal, mobile app, and milestone emails.

Designed for experienced sellers
The program is built for businesses and representatives that already have customer relationships or solar sales experience.
You want an accountable EPC partner and clear project visibility.
You already have homeowner trust and want to add solar without building an installation division.
You can sell and want an EPC to handle the construction path.
If you have never sold solar and do not yet have a sales team, begin by learning the sales process with an established dealer before applying.
Choose the operating model
A national network, NRG, and an in-house construction operation solve different problems. Compare the tradeoffs before you choose.
| Consideration | Large national network | NRG Clean Power | Building it yourself |
|---|---|---|---|
| Project contact | Central support model | Dealer workflow and project visibility | Your own team |
| Capital required | Lower than building | Lower than building | High |
| Construction responsibility | Network provider | NRG | Yours |
| Equipment access | Network lineup | NRG approved lineup | Your vendor accounts |
| Geographic reach | Often broad | Confirmed during application | Wherever you build |
If you need broad multi-state coverage immediately, a national program may fit better. If you want an EPC relationship with an integrated dealer workflow, talk with NRG.
