The NRG Clean Power Solar Inside Energy Consultant is part of a talented sales team that ensures our customers have an amazing experience going solar. Top performers will also have the opportunity for career advancement, management responsibilities, and a wide range of experience managing various aspects of our pipeline. You will work with customers to create solutions for their needs and consult through the sales process. Must be energetic, well-spoken, and eager to close sales and increase revenue.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in inside sales and/or the Solar Industry.

Objectives

  • Quickly qualify and build rapport with each new customer
  • Successfully overcome homeowner objections
  • Educate homeowners about the benefits of solar power
  • Design and propose system real time via web conference with customer
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales appointment goals
  • Manage inbound leads using Salesforce and Calendar schedule
  • Identify new ways to increase/improve lead qualification to help increase sales
  • Ensure that all new leads are contacted and processed into a follow-up/qualification campaign
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
  • Develop and maintain a strong referral network of satisfied customers that refer friends and family to NRG Clean Power
  • Understand customer needs and requirements

Competencies

  • Previous telesales experience is a plus
  • Background in solar would be a plus +++
  • Strong ability to project monthly sales numbers
  • Understanding of general construction a plus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency with Gsuite
  • Experience with selling virtually using tools like Zoom
  • Ability to communicate a technical process in an easy to understand way via telephone, web and email

This is a full-time position, approximately 40 hours/week expected. The compensation for this position is comprised of an hourly base pay plus a commission structure. Regular performance bonuses and sales contest prizes will also be given to strong performers. Some weekend shifts may be available.

NRG Clean Power is looking for a talented, creative and passionate salesperson or sales manager to lead our new inside sales team. We are looking for a leader who will grow and manage from the ground up, the inside team while leading them to new heights in terms of quality and efficiency. This is a great opportunity for an experienced sales person to take on a management role or for a talented sales manager to break into the growing renewable energy sector. The position is full-time and based in our Canoga Park office

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all day-to-day operations of the inside sales team in addition to working with senior management to craft longer-term strategies

  • Lead weekly team meetings to ensure team is current and up-to-date on all relevant changes in the organization

  • Hold weekly one-on-ones with each team member to review performance, share two-way feedback, and maintain employee engagement

  • Hire new team members as needed and manage the onboarding and training process

  • Hold ongoing training sessions to improve knowledge and performance

  • Hold a partial sales quota to ensure you are spending a portion of your time on the phones leading by example

  • Work with the team to improve sales scripts, refine sales processes, and increase team performance

  • Analyze sales statistics to identify areas of improvement

  • Track results and trends regularly for business forecasting

  • Report on team and individual performance

  • Develop and execute innovative sales strategies

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of inside sales (telesales) experience

  • 1+ years of inside sales management experience

  • Demonstrated success in achieving and surpassing sales quotas

  • Ability and desire to lead a sales team

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships

  • Ability to meet multiple objectives in an entrepreneurial environment with minimal supervision

  • Prior experience working in a high-growth or startup company preferred

  • Previous experience in solar is preferred

As an Inside Energy Advisor, you will serve as the first point of contact for all inbound and outbound lead generating activities

Role Responsibilities

  • Responsible for outbound calls to our database
  • Qualify and rate prospects via phone, live chat and email – with the ultimate goal of passing qualified leads to the sales team in an efficient and effective manner. Stellar ability to multi-task with email management, phone and live chat communication with prospects.
  • Accurately record information and details of correspondence in our CRM system.
  • All contact must be made in a polite, effective, and efficient manner, working within the guidelines provided at all times.
  • Understand solar products and financing solutions, and how they serve our customers’ needs- including features, benefits, and key examples of usage.
  • Work with management to improve the lead qualifying processes.

Role Expectations

  • Participate in sale cycle with provided leads, and close deals daily

Role Expectations:

You will be the main point of contact for NRG Clean Power and its homeowners. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and managing each project from sale to full completion (so organization is key to success). Along with creating a best in class customer experience, the Project Coordinator will effectively and efficiently be responsible for timely communication and completion.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with your pipeline (avg 60 jobs) on a weekly basis
  • Work with various departments to move jobs through all stages
  • Communicate with customers on Technical aspects of Project
  • Liaison between the sales team, installation team, local permit offices, distributors, and customers in order to install a quality solar system.
  • The Project Coordinator will be able to manage a multitude of different phases of the installation, and easily transition from one task to another
